Nothing can compare with granite, marble, slate or limestone for their unique beauty and stunning looks which will enhance any new or existing kitchen installation. Granite is the more desirable of stone for kitchen worktops because of its resistance to heat, scratch marks and staining. |

In this update to the kitchen, a new larger breakfast bar has been added to the original above left to accommodate this family's change of use. Giallo Veneziallo was chosen as a contrasting granite to enhance the whole effect. |

Slate, limestone and marble are now becoming quite popular for worktops and whilst they have preferable colours and textures, careful consideration should be given to your lifestyle as these materials require greater care in general daily use. It should of course be remembered that being a natural product all stone will vary in colour, intensity and veining within individual slabs. |

| Maintenance of natural stone is quite simple – merely use clean soapy water to wipe over your worktops (darker colours may just require to be “buffed up” with a dry cloth). We seal all our worktops during installation and, with reasonable care, your worktops should look as good in 10 years time as they do at the time of fitting. |
